Annapurna Trekking

everest1Annapurna trek is an extraordinary trek, one of the world’s best in terms of culture and environmental diversity. Annapurna Circuit trek provides you dramatic changes in landscape, culture and climate. To the west, in the interior of the Annapurna Circuit, is Tilicho Lake, surrounded by snow-peaks. Annapurna trekking has been wildly recognized as a naturalist's paradise. The upper sub-alpine steppe environment harbors some of the rare snow leopards and blue sheep. Other areas of the region protect bird species such as the multi-coloured Impeyan, kokla, and blood pheasant amongst a multitude of other birds, butterflies and insects. Many plants native to Nepal are found in this forest. The conservation area has 100 varieties of orchids and some of the richest temperate rhododendron forest in the world.

Day 01:

Your Trek Guide will meet you at your Hotel in Pokhara (after breakfast) or receive you at the Airport. Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, which is about an hour and half drive. Nayapul is a small trading town situated at the bank of Modi River. It is about an hour walk from this place to Bhurjung Khola, which passes via Birethanti, a larger Village with many Local Inns and Tea Houses. Lunch will be taken here. After Lunch it is a steep climb on stone paved path for almost a good hour and half to Hille. From here the trail is easier all the way to Tirkhedhunga. Overnight lodge at Tirkhedhunga

Day 02: After early breakfast, the trail descends and after crossing the Bhurundi Stream, a steep climbing begins to reach Ulleri. It takes about 3 Hours from Tirkhedhunga to Ulleri. From here one can have a very close view of Annapurna South and Machhapuchare - the Fishtail Mountain. Lunch will be served a little further at Naya Thanti. After Lunch the trail climbs steadily through a dense rhododendron forest for about four hours to reach Ghorepani. Overnight in lodge at Ghorepani.
Day 03: Early in the morning before breakfast, an excursion to Poon Hill at (10530-ft) can be organised for those with a spirit of adventure. Poon Hill is the spot to view the majestic panorama of the Himalayas. A close up view of Dhalaugiri and the Annapurna Massif including Machhapuchare the sacred Mountain waits you at Poon Hill. The hike to and back from Poon Hill is approximately one and half-hours. After breakfast, the trail from Ghorepani to Tadapani goes through thick pine and rhododendron forest with occasional ascends and descends, but the walk today may be considered flat on the ridge top as a whole. We stop for lunch at Tadapani at (8900-ft.). After lunch, the major part of the trail is descending downhill through scattered villages. After lunch, the trail descends all the way to the fairly large Gurung settlement Ghandrung. The view of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli add beauty to this beautiful village. Overnight lodge at Ghandrung.
Day 04: Today the trail descends down to Modi Khola. Cross the Modi khola, on a suspension bridge then ascend to Landrung village. Annapurna and Machhapuchhre are clearly visible from the trail. The trail goes through scattered trees and bushes and starts to ascend steeply after about an hour. The steady climb to Deurali will take approx two hours. From Deurali, one can have a fine view of Annapurna south and Dhaulagiri Mountain, which is the highest in the western Nepal. The trail from Deurali descends gradually all the way to Dhampus for overnight stay at lodge. Lunch will be taken en-route.
Day 05: After breakfast, it is an easy walk along the ridge passing through scattered villages and paddy fields for about one hour. The trail descends steeply for an hour to Phedi (Pokhara-Baglung Highway). From here, you can drive (30 min. approx.) straight to the hotel at Pokhara for overnight or airport to connect the flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 01:

Kathmandu to Pokhara(910m/2986ft.)

Breakfast. Our Trekking guide will come at the Hotel an early morning at 6:30 am to pick you up and we walk from hotel about 10 minutes to get bus station.Our bus leave at 7 am to Pokhara.

We drive to Pokhara by tourist bus, enjoying an afternoon sightseeing on the lakeside and boating at Phewa lake. From Kathmandu to Pokhara, it is about 206km and takes around 6 hours. O/N at Base camp resort or Hotel Kantipur

Day 02 :

Drive to Naya Pul (New bridge), and trek to Tikhe Dhunga(1495m/4905ft).

Breakfast. After an hour drive to Naya Pul we then commence our trek to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town beside the Modi River. We head up the main trail to Sudami where we climb gradually up the side of the valley, reaching Hile (1495m) before pushing on to Tirkhe Dhunga. From here the trail crosses a stream and then ascends a steep stone staircase to the large Magar village at Ulleri (2070m). 3:30 hours.

Day 03 :

Trek to Ghorepani (2850m/9350ft).

This is a pleasant walking day today. We trek through rhododendron and oak forests and across streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti. From Nangethanti we head up to Ghorepani (2850m). 5:30 hours. O/N at Sunny lodge or Poonhill guest house.

Day 04 :

Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2520m/8268ft).

An early start and an hour hiking to Poon Hill (3195m) leads us to a brilliant spectacle, this vantage point provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas. After spending about 40 minutes on the hillside, we come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and start walking to Tadapani. From Ghorepani the trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2960m). We descend to reach Banthanti, before winding our way to Tadapani (2540m). 6 hours. O/N at Hotel Panorama or Hotel Grand view.

Day 05 :

Tadapani to Ghaundrung (1950m/6398ft).

Our descent brings us to the village of Ghaundrung around noon. We will overnight here so have the afternoon to visit the Annapurna conservation office and museum. As well as take time to explore the village. 2:30 hours

Day 06 :

Ghaundrung to Pokhara via Pothana(1910m/6266ft) and Phedi (910m/2986ft)

Our last two days of trekking take us through the village of Pothana (2110m) before reaching Phedi (950m). On arrival in Phedi, mid morning, our bus meets us before driving to Pokhara where our trek ends. 5:30 hours

Day 07 : Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Breakfast. We drive to airport. It is about 4Km away from hotel and takes 5 minutes. The plane takes 25 minutes to get to Kathmandu. And we drive to hotel. The tour will end on arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 01:

Kathmandu to Pokhara:

Drive in to Pokhara, 200Km 6 hours bus drive & preparation for trekking and overnight stay at Pokhara.

Day- 02

Pokhara to Ulleri (1685m):

About 45 Km. drives from Pokhara via Naudanda, Kanre, and Lumle village up to Nayapool. From where the trail descends steeply to Birethanthi and follows the East bank of Bhurungdi Khola, Tikhedunga and finally reaches to Ulleri.

Day- 03:

Ulleri to o Ghorepani (1855m):

The trail ascends to small villages more pleasantly through rhododendron forest arriving at top of Ghorepani and overnight stay.

Day- 04:

Ghorepani to Tadapani (2680m):

Early in the morning trek start to Poonhill where many people witness the sunrise for a lifetime memory. From Poonhill one can view over 30 white – capped Peaks, the whole Annapurna range. Many people talk about having a life changing experience after watching the sunrise over the panorama of the Himalayas. Then, walk through the forest filled with flowers (in the spring) overnight stay at Tadapani.

Day- 05:

Tadapani via Chhomrong to Sinuwa:

Tadapani offers good views of upper Modi valley. The route starts the long ascents high above the West Bank of Modi Khola from Sinuwa you will see very nice views of Mt. Machhapuchere.

Day- 06:

Sinuwa to Deurali Hotel (3000):

The trail continues to Khuldi Ghar for about one hour fifteen minutes and from there goes down very steeply to a bank of the rock and then levels out, running through thickets of Bamboo at the bottom of the George, keeping always on the West side of the river. The pasture of Tomoe is passed by and then the very neck of the George at Panchen Barah, where there is a small trail and a shrine. Overnight stay in Deurali.

Day- 07:

Deurali to ABC (4130):

From the Deurali the trail continues into the sanctuary, it crosses two wide avalanche tracks on narrow trail that huddles up against the cliff (rock face). The trail then descends to meet the Modi Khola and follows the river to Bagar. From bagar climb across more avalanche paths cross a moraine and a stream, then climb towards an area known as Machhapuchhere Base Camp (MBC) at the elevation 3700m. After 2 hours journey, we finally reach to our destination ABC and Overnight stay here for sun set and sun rise.

Day- 08:

ABC to and back Sinuwa :
We see morning sun rise and take our breakfast at 7. 00 a.m. and reach to Himalayas for lunch and finally come back to Sinuwa with the same trail and stay overnight.

Day- 09:

Sinuwa to Kyumi:

We follow same trail up to Chhomrong and the trail goes to descend Jhinu. We see Hot spring and take our lunch there. After lunch we start our journey, pass with beautiful rift valley and finally reach to Kyumi and stay overnight.

Day- 10:

Kyumi to Nayapool via Pokhara:

The trail goes up and down through Ghandruk is one of the develop village and mostly people are Gurung (The Gurung is another ethnic group closely resembling the Magars in many aspects. They live in the western and central hills of the country although further to the east. Of Tibeto-Burman stock, the Gurungs have their own distinct language and practice shamanism. Many find employment in the British and Indian armies) of this area. After this place, we reach to Nayapool and take our lunch there. We take rest there for an hour and finally you will be driven back to Pokhara and stay overnight there.

Day- 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu by Bus
