Annapurna with Tilicho Lake trek is a wonderful trip through the popular Annapurna region, to Tilicho Lake. This Annapurna and Tilicho Lake Trek trail cuts through a range of altitudes and has scenery ranging from sub-tropical to alpine forests.

15 Days Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Flying to Kathmandu on a clear day is an exciting and electrifying experience in itself. You will be stunned by the exotic views of the snow-capped mountains. Our support team will pick you up at the airport and escort you to your luxurious hotel. The rest of the day is reserved for your rest.

Day 2: Drive to Chamje (1,410m/4,626ft): 6-7 hours

You get up early in the morning and drive to Chamje Village. The Chamje village is the starting point of your 17 Days Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek.

Day 3: Trek from Chamje to Dharapani (1,960m/6,430ft): 5 - 6 hours

The trail leading to Dharapani takes you through various vegetable plantations, cascading waterfalls and lush forests. Leaving Chamje, you cross a suspension bridge and ascend a parth to reach Tal. From Tal, walking along the Kodo village you reach the grand Dharapani Village.

Day 4: Dharapani to Chame (2,710m/8,891ft): 5 - 6 hours

From Dharapani, you follow steep, forested ridges along with several landslide areas to reach Chame. The trail leading to Chame greets you with panoramic views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II peaks.

Day 5: Chame to Pisang (3,300m/10824ft): 5 - 6 hours

On the 6th day of your Annapurna and Tilicho Lake Trek 17 Days, you following the path, which will take you up and down hills, passing many rivers and lightly populated hamlets. Walk along a steep and narrow valley and observe the vivid curved rock face that rises 1500m above the river. After, descend to the floor of the Managa valley exploring the enchanting scenery.

Day 6: Pisang to Manang (3,500m/11,482ft): 6 - 7 hours

You will see two trails to Manag from Pisang. You follow the route that passes through Upper Piang via Geru. As you get closer to Manag, the weather gets colder and drier. After reaching Manag, you pay a short visit to the Barge monastery and spend the night.

Day 7: Manang to Khangsar (3745m/12286ft): 2-3 hours

You have breakfast and continue to trek up to the village of Khangsar. As you hike further, the trail cuts down through a gorge, from here the Tilicho Peak can be seen. You get to explore the natural charm of the Annaprna range throughout the trail.

Day 8: Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp (4140m/13,583ft): 5-6 hours

Today, you trek up to the Tilicho Lake Base Camp through wide grassy fields. On the 9th day of the Annapurna and Tilicho Lake 17 Days trek’s the trail treats you with glorious scenes of the whole valley. From here, after making a steep climb, you reach the Tilicho Base Camp.

Here, you set up camp and spend the night.

Day 9: Visit Tilicho Lake (4,949m/16,138 ft) then trek back to base camp: 5-6 hours

You get up early in the morning and take an arduous ascent up to the lake. The route cuts along the side of the mountain. After reaching the Tilicho Lake, you get to experience the serene beauty that the lake has to offer. Here, you can take a peaceful rest beside the turquoise waters of the lake and explore the remarkable views before moving on to base camp.

Day 10: Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka (4040m/13,020ft): 4-5 hours

From the Tilicho Base Camp, you follow the trail that leads you out of the Marshyangdi valley. You will notice the vast change in surroundings as the woods are left behind and swapped with more hilly plants. You continue walking through the ruins of the Khangsar village until you reach Yak Kharka. Here, you will see a lot of yaks grazing and standing around in the village.

Day 11: Yak kharka to Thorang Phedi: (4420m/14501ft): 3-4 hours

From Yak Kharka, it’s an uphill climb to Thorang Phedi. You will walk for some time and cross a suspension bridge to reach Ledar village. Leaving the Ledar village, you climb further and pass through high cliffs to reach the Thorang Phedi village. The Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek trails leading to Thorang Phedi provides you with the best views of Mt. Gundang an Mt. Syagang.

Day 12: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft) via Thorong La pass (5416m/17764ft): 7 - 8 hours

Today’s main objective is crossing the Thorong La Pass, one of the highest passes in the world. You will cross the pass from east to west, which is the safest and easiest direction. Then, you will ascend to the top of the mountain and head towards Muktinath Valley.

Day 13: Muktinath to Jomsom (2,715m/8,910ft): 5-6 hours

Today, you get up early in the morning to pay a visit to the Muktinath temple and head towards Jomsom. As the route extends, you can explore the stunning views of Mt. Dhaulagiri. You will also get the opportunity to walk amongst pastures, cross streams to reach Kagbeni. You stop for lunch here and then head towards windy Jomsom.

Day 14: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft): 30mins

You pack up early and take an morning flight to Pokhara, enjoying the amazing scenes of the gorge between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains. The rest of the day of your 17 days Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek is reserved for your rest or you can explore the beautiful Pokhara city.

Day 15: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

This scenic drive provides you with amazing views of the terraced hills and the rural Nepalese lifestyle.
