Throughout your internship, you will work alongside local professionals, staff, and community members, taking part in daily activities and learning through hands-on experience. This gives you the chance to understand your chosen field while also adapting to a new cultural environment.
Although the exact schedule may vary between programs, most interns spend around 4–5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, on their assigned activities. Your evenings and weekends are generally free, giving you plenty of time to explore Nepal, visit historic sites and temples, experience local traditions, or discover the country’s beautiful landscapes and natural attractions.

Internship Fees in Nepal
Every year, hundreds of volunteers and interns from UK- and USA-based organizations spend up to $2,500 for a 2-week program in Nepal. However, RCDP Nepal offers affordable internship and volunteer programs designed to make international experience accessible to students and participants from different backgrounds. Program fees start from $150, with the total cost depending on the length, location, and type of program you choose.
The program fee consists of a registration fee of $279 and a weekly program fee. Before making your payment, your program coordinator will explain the applicable fees and what is included in your chosen placement.
The weekly fee generally covers:
- 50% for accommodation and three local meals per day
- 50% for project support and local staff
The exact allocation may vary depending on the project and location. You will receive a clear breakdown of the costs from your program coordinator before payment, so you know what to expect.
Supporting Local Communities
