You get up early in the morning, then head to Swoyambhu Stupa. With more than 2000 years of history, this holy Buddhist pilgrimage is one of the oldest monuments. You get to observe the grand idols of the Buddha and his disciples in the monastery.
The top of the monastery also offers you the chance to observe the panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. After visiting Swayambhunath, you will be taken a 6-hour drive to Pokhara. Overnight stay at Pokhara.Today, you will visit Buddhist shrines, enjoying the natural beauty of Pokhara. There is a grand Buddhist Stupa of the World Peace pagoda positioned on a thin ridge high above the Phewa Lake. You will cross the lake on a boat, then trek to the Stupa.
From the top of the Stupa, you get to experience the stunning view of Pokhara Valley. Next, you will visit the Malepatan Gomba and trek to Hyangja. At Hyangja, you get the chance to interact with Tibetan refugees who fled Tibet after the Cultural Revolution in China. Overnight stay at Pokhara.
You will take a 7 hour scenic drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. You will experience hot and humid weather on your trip to Lumbini during summer. In the winter, the place is cold. Today, after having breakfast, you head back to Kathmandu. You will take a 7 hour drive along a scenic, winding mountain road. After reaching Kathmandu, our support team will transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is reserved for rest or you can enjoy spending time walking the streets of Thamel.
