Helambu Trek 7 Days

Are you planning a trek in the Langtang region in Nepal? Are you searching for an itinerary for 7 Days Langtang Helambu Trek?

Located just 72 km from Kathmandu, the Helambu Trek is the perfect trekking route to experience the natural splendor and culture of the Langtang region. Beginning from Sundarijal, the LangtangHelambu Trek trail goes through stunning rhododendron forests and culturally rich villages. Here you get to experience the best vistas and natural beauty of the region.

The 7 Day Langtang Helambu Trek offers you the chance to bask in the splendor of giant mountains, beautiful flora and fauna and rich local culture. You will also get to visit the sacred religious shrines and alpine yak pastures.

Helambu 7 Days Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel. (1360m)

After your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, our support team will pick you up and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is reserved for your rest.

Day 2: Drive to Sundarijal& begins our trek to Chisapani (2300m): 1 hr Drive, 4 hrs Trek

After breakfast, you take a one-hour drive to Sundarijal, where you will begin your trek. You walk for around 7 hours along the rhododendron woods and Tamang ethnic settlements to Chisopani, where you spend the night.

Day 3: Trek to Kutumsang (2446m): 7 hrs Trek

From Chisapani, you commence your trip to Kutumsang. You start todaystrail with a gradual descent, then cross the beautiful meadows and terraced fields. You get to experience spectacular views of the Langtang Mountain from the trail.

You keep on walking until you reach Pathi and GulBhyanjyang. From GulBhayanjyang, the route takes you to another pass. From here, you descend down to Kutumsang to spend the night.

Day 4: Trek to Thadepati (3650m): 6 hrs Trek

Here, you climb up along a steep trail to Thadepati. Passing through rhododendron and fir forests, you keep on walking to Thadepati via YurinDanda, enjoying the Panoramic views of the Himalayas.

Day 5: Trek to Tarkeghyang (2560m): 6 hrs Trek

You get up early in the morning and start your trek to Tarkeghyang. Your trail descends down until you cross the MelamchiKhola. Further on, you ascend up to Tarkeghyang passing through fascinating Sherpa villages and antique monasteries.

Day 6: Trek to Sermathang (2,610m): 4 hrs Trek

Today, you take an easy walk to Sermathang through the fascinating forest, past streams and cascading waterfalls. The route curves around the wide valley and ends between Parachin and Gangyul Sherpa villages. After reaching Sermathang, you will explore the local’s lifestyle and pay a visit to the sacred Buddhist monastery.

Day 7: Trek to MelamchiPul Bazaar & then drive back to Kathmandu: 3/4 hrs trek, 2 hrs drive

On day 7, you descend down for around 4 hours to Melamchi Bazaar. From the Bazaar, you will be driven back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is reserved for rest or you can enjoy walking the streets of Thamel.
