4 Days Kali Gandaki Rafting Nepal Itinerary:

The 4 days Kali Gandaki rafting trip in Nepal will start from Pokhara. The journey will take you through Beni, Purtighat and finally the trip will end at Mirmi. Here is the detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Pokhara- Naya Pul- Modi Beni

You can choose the mode of transportation to reach Pokhara. It will take you 30 minutes to fly and 6 to 7 hours by car. The journey to the river will begin early in the morning. Naya Pul is 40 km away, which will take approximately 2 and half hours to reach. After a a quick safety and instruction talk, you will get to commence your exciting rafting adventure.

One the first day of rafting you will be greeted by class 3 and class 4 rapids. The main attractions on day 1 is the rock formation on the canyon walls, villages on the top of the hills and bird watching. The day ends with a cozy campsite dinner.

Day 2: Modi Beni – Purtighat

After breakfast, you will commence the second day. Initially you will be greeted by class 3 rapids. You will also find yourself battling class 4 rapids on this day. As you move further down river you will notice the valley widening.

On the way you will get to see temples and you may also notice that the majority of people here belong to the Brahmin and Magar ethnicity. Incredible waterfalls which fall down the stalactite formations will greet you before you enter the dense jungle corridor. Later, you will spend the night camping on a remote beach.

Day 3: Purtighat – Mirmi

Modi Beni village lies where Kali and Modi rivers merge. This particular site is considered a holy place by Hindus. The huge boulder is believed to be an important shrine by the locals. You will face a few small rapids on the third day of 4 days Kali Gandaki River rafting in Nepal, which are comparatively easy. The river now becomes less aggressive and the hills are comparatively less steep.

You will find yourself closing in on civilization, therefore, noticing busy farmers in the fields and children waving at you with enthusiasm. This will be the end of the water adventure on the pristine and ferocious water of the Kali Gandaki River. After having lunch you will head back to Pokhara. On the way back to Pokhara you will drive through farmland, rising hills and beautiful Gurung villages.

Day 4: Pokhara to Kathmandu
