The Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek is a captivating trip that bridges the most unique and best trekking trails in the Langtang Himalayan ranges. The trek itinerary takes you into the highlands of the Langtang region through three main trails: Langtang Valley, Gosaikunda Lake, and Helambu Valley.

Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek trail offers you the chance to experience a variety of flora and fauna and spectacular views of the majestic mountains and lush forests. You will also get to experience quaint villages, rich local cultures and the abundant wildlife.

Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu 14 Days Trek itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu and drive to hotel (1,350m.)

Our representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to your comfortable hotel. Our senior guide will meet you and give a short introduction about the trek and its trails. The rest of the day is reserved for your rest.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Beshi(1,400m.) - 7/8hrs drive

Our trekking guide will pick you up and take you to your bus. You will take a seven-hour drive to Syabru Beshi, enjoying the panoramic views of the Trisuli River, terraced fields, and green hills along the way.

Day 3: Trek from Syapru Benshi to Lama Hotel (2,470 m.)

After having breakfast, you began your trek to Lama hotel, passing through thick forest. Today, you cross suspension bridges and follow the trail that ascends and descends until you reach Lama Hotel.

Day 4: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430 m.)

On day 5 of your ‘16 Days Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek’, you take the route that climbs down through pine, oak and rhododendron woods. From here, you get to observe the beautiful valley and its green pastures. After walking for around 7 hours, you reach the Langtang village, from where you will be treated to incredible views of your surroundings.

Day 5: Trek from Langtang Village to KyanjingGompa (3,870 m.)

Today’s short hike takes you to monasteries and cheese factories. You will also get to experience the stunning mountain scenery.

Day 6: Kyanjing exploration day - hike to Kyanjing-Ri (4,600m.) 2-3 hrs. or Tsergo-Ri (4,984 m.) 7-9hrs.

On the 6th day of your Trek, you take a day off for acclimatization and exploration. It is also an exciting day to explore the nearby monastery and cheese factory. You can even climb KyangjinRi and TserkoRi, from where you get to experience the stunning views of snow-capped mountains.

Day 7: Trek back to Lama Hotel

Today’s trekking trail is mostly downhill. You descend down to Lama Hotel from KyanjingRi, enjoying the remarkable mountain views and terraced landscapes along the way.

Day 8: Trek from Lama Hotel to ThuloSyphru (2,280 m.)

The Trek’s trail descends down to the river and over a high suspension bridge. From here, you hike to ThuloSyphru through the pine and juniper forests.

Day 9: Trek from ThuloSyaphru to CholangPati (3,650 m.)

Today, you trek along a steep trail to CholangPati, enjoying the picturesque mountain scenery. You may even get to witness the rare Red Pandas on the trail. After walking for around 6 hours along a steep path, you reach CholandPati.

Day 10: Trek from CholangPati to Gosaikunda (4,460 m.)

On day 11 of your ‘16 Day Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek’, you will visit the holy Gosaikunda Lake. From CholangPati, your trail continues to ascend towards Gosaikunda passing through hills and rocky cliffs. You get to observe many lakes here, including Gosaikunda, Saraswatikunda and Bhairavkunda.

Day 11: Trek from Gosainkunda to Ghopte (3,440 m.) via LahureBina-La pass (4,610 m.)

Leaving Gosaikunda, you ascend along a steep trail to Laurebina La Pass. From the pass, the trail climbs down towards forests.After reaching the valley, you make a gradual ascent towards Ghopte.

Day 12: Trek from Ghopte to Kutungsang (2,450 m)

Leaving Ghopte, you follow the trail that leads you to Tharepati, from where the trail connects you to Helambu. From here, you walk to Kutumsang, passing through alpine country side, pastures, MereDanda Pass and rhododendron forests.

Day 13: Trek from Kutungsang to Chisopani (2,140 m.)

Your today’s trail takes you to Chisapani via several fascinating villages like GulBhanjyang and Patibhanjyang .

Day 14: Trek from Chisopani to Sundarijal and then drive to Kathmandu

You get up early in the morning to bask in the remarkable views of the mountains, including Ganesh Himal and Manaslu. After, you start to walk towards Sundarijal via Mulkharka. From Sundarijal, you will be driven to Kathmandu.
