The Fee and Dates

RCDP Nepal programs begin on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month and are available all year round. However, we allow for flexibility if you have travel constraints.

Every year, hundreds of volunteers arrive in Nepal to volunteer from UK and USA-based organizations and end up paying up to $2500 to volunteer for 2 weeks. However, RCDP offers the most affordable volunteer program fee in Nepal. Our program fee starts as low as $150. The program fee is divided into a registration fee ($279) and a weekly fee.

In addition to volunteer programs in Nepal, RCDP runs multiple projects to help poor children and orphanages. We are presently running an orphanage in Nepal and a school construction/renovation program (for details, visit: http://www.rcdpnepal.org/about_rcdp/achievements.php). The majority of your volunteer program fee is used for your program. However, as RCDP aims to support poor communities and children, we use the remaining savings (if any are left) to run or manage our orphanage and community projects.

The weekly fee is divided between accommodation and 3 local meals a day (50%) and project donation/support to local project staff (50%). This allocation may be different depending on location, project type, etc. However, our coordinator will explain these issues before you pay the fee. Scholarships and Fee Waivers

We do not offer scholarships, as our fees are already as low as possible to cover accommodation, meals, and project support. However, we help volunteers manage funding by providing fundraising ideas and supportive documents.
