The three medieval kingdoms tour of Nepal will take you through the beautiful and culturally rich cities of Kathmandu valley. You will start the sightseeing tour from Boudhanath and will visit places of religious importance like Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

When flying to Kathmandu on a clear day you can enjoy the beautiful view of snow-capped mountain peaks, which will certainly remain in your memory for a long time. On your arrival. you will be greeted by our representative at the airport for the meeting and greeting program. Then you will be taken to your hotel and briefed about your program.

Day 2:

After having breakfast early in the morning, you will finally begin the Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan tour. The first destination is Boudhanath, which is one of the largest spherical stupas in the world and happens to be the center of religious importance of Tibetan Buddhist beliefs. You will find devotees praying and lighting lamps. The spiritual energy of the place will give you peace amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.

The second destination is Pashupatinath temple, located on the banks of the holy river, Bagmati. The main attraction of Pashupatinath is the temple of Lord Shiva, which holds religious significance among the followers of Hinduism. Along with the main temple, there are several other temples and monuments of different gods.

The last destination of the day is the beautiful city of Bhaktapur, which is also famous as Bhadgaon. Bhaktapur Durbar square displays fine specimens of intricate wood carvings, sculptures, pagoda style temples and beautiful metal work. The highlight of the Durbar Square is the intricately designed wood carving of the 55 window palace, Golden Gate, Dattaraya and Nyatapol temple. There is also museum in the durbar square, which reflects the craftsmanship of ancient Bhaktapur.

In the evening, you will be taken to Nagarkot.

Day 3

After having breakfast, you will be taken to Patan and Bhaktapur tour. The first stop of the tour is Patan durbar square, which is heaven for art lovers and has been listed among UNESCO’s World Heritage sites since 1979.

Durbar square possesses a fine display of beautiful art and architecture. You can enjoy the sight of a few specimens from that era in the Malla Palace, which has been converted into a museum. The major highlights of durbar square are Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple, Royal bath (Tushahity) and others.

The next stop is Swayambhunath stupa, which means ‘self-created.’ It is believed that the hill automatically emerged from a great lake, which once covered the Kathmandu Valley. It is also famously known as the monkey temple; here you can witness religious tolerance at its best. You will see a Buddhist monk chanting prayers as well as a Hindu devotee worshiping their gods.

The last destination is Kathmandu Durbar Square. Basantapur Durbar Square or Kathmandu Durbar square is the combination of ancient palaces, courtyards, temples and streets, which date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The highlights of the Kathmandu Durbar Square are Taleju Mandir, Kumari ghar, Natyapol temple and Kaal Bhairav. The buildings of Kathmandu Durbar Square are as old as the city.
